Where a person had been issued with a letter indicating the intention to deport under Section 3 of the Immigration Act 1999, the recipient will generally be given 4 options with which to respond:
- Leave the State voluntarily
- Apply for humanitarian leave to remain
- Apply for subsidiary protection
- Consent to the deportation order
